Cruise on up to Eagles Nest Winery & Cottage

Relax and enjoy the scenery - We're an easy 30-35 minute drive north of San Diego, California/Mission Valley/East County.

The primary route to west Ramona Valley's Eagles Nest Winery & Cottage is via Interstate 15 (I-15) to Scripps Poway Parkway and then Hwy 67 North past Mount Woodson into west Ramona.

Finding Eagles Nest Winery & Cottage is easy - just follow the directions below.

We suggest the scenic route which adds about ten minutes to the drive.

The direct route stays on Highway 67 goes through clusters of California Live Oak trees and while quite country, isn't as spectacular as the valley route - it's your choice.

From the I-15 (San Diego - Scripps Poway Parkway):

Take I-15 to either of these three roads - Scripps Poway Parkway east, or Poway Road east, or Ted Williams-to-Twin Peaks-to-Espola Road to Hwy 67 north to Ramona

For the scenic route through the valley, take a left on Archie Moore road just after after Mt Woodson, veer right onto Highland Valley Road through two 90 degree turns at Rangeland Road, then just past the Christmas tree farm, take a right onto Whirlwind Lane an unpaved road, and right onto paved Chablis Road at the stop signs. Follow Chablis to its end and look for the Wine Barrels at the decorative stone entry and iron gate at 18261 Chablis and sign for Eagles Nest Winery and Cottage.

For the direct, all paved route, continue straight on Hwy 67 past Mount Woodson and past Archie Moore Road, about a mile later, look for a large green sign for Air Mail Lane and a left turnout. Turn left on Air Mail Lane and go straight past the mailboxes to the "T" at Whirlwind where you go right - you'll see a sign and arrow to right for Chablis Road too. At the stopsigns, turn left on Chablis. Follow Chablis to its end and look for wine barrels and stone entry and iron gate on your left at 18261 Chablis with the sign for Eagles Nest Winery and Cottage.

From Hwy 78 (Escondido):

Take Hwy 78 east to Ramona then right turn / south on 67 / Main Street through town to southwest to west Ramona.

For the scenic route as you are leaving town, turn right at Highland Valley Road/Dye Road intersection and then as you begin see the white post and rail ranch fencing on your right, begin to look for look for a left onto Whirlwind Lane an unpaved road, and then a right onto paved Chablis Road at the stop signs. Follow Chablis to its end and look for a stone entry and iron gate on your left at 18261 Chablis and a keypad with sign for Eagles Nest Vineyard and Cottage.

For the direct, all paved route as you are leaving town, continue stright through the Highland Valley/Dye Road intersection and after passing Schwaesdall Winery and Daniel's West Market, look for a right turnout at Air Mail Lane. Turn right on Air Mail Lane and go straight past the mailboxes to the "T" at Whirlwind where you go right - you'll see a sign and an arrow to right for Chablis Road too. At the stopsigns, turn left on Chablis. Follow Chablis to its end and look for wine barrels and stone entry and iron gate on your left at 18261 Chablis with the sign for Eagles Nest Winery and Cottage.

From Hwy 67 (El Cajon)

Take Hwy 67 north to Ramona.

From Ramona Airport

Turn right exiting the Airport on Montecito Road and then right when it hits Main Street (Hwy 67). Head south leaving town toward west Ramona.
